Turtle Caramel Cake Delight

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup caramel bits
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil, and eggs. Beat until well combined.
  3. Stir in caramel bits and pecans.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Let cool completely before frosting.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use caramel extract in the cake batter. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
