Taco Bell Beef Burrito

Craving a Taco Bell beef burrito but don’t want to leave home? This easy recipe recreates the classic flavors in your own kitchen with seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, and tangy sauces wrapped in a warm tortilla.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/4 cup reduced fat sour cream
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed and the beef is seasoned.
  3. Warm the flour tortillas according to package directions.
  4. Lay a tortilla flat and spread a thin layer of nacho cheese sauce down the center.
  5. Top with 1/4 of the seasoned ground beef, cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, sour cream, diced tomatoes, and shredded lettuce.
  6. Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it up tightly from the bottom.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra Taco Bell touch, warm the finished burrito in a dry skillet for a few minutes per side to crisp the tortilla slightly.
