Delightfully savory and creamy, Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella Bites make a perfect appetizer that combines melted mozzarella with salty prosciutto for an irresistible snack.

Ingredients

  • 12 small fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 6 slices of prosciutto, cut in half lengthwise
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Drain the mozzarella balls and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  3. Wrap each mozzarella ball with a strip of prosciutto, gently pressing to secure.
  4. Place the wrapped mozzarella bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Drizzle olive oil over the bites and sprinkle freshly ground black pepper on top.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the prosciutto is crispy and the mozzarella is slightly melted.
  7. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
  8. Serve warm as a delicious appetizer or snack.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving or serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
