Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (1-ounce) packet Italian dressing mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: Cooked rice or pasta, for serving
  • Optional: Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, condensed cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth.
  3. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are fully coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and shreds easily.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the slow cooker and mix with the sauce.
  6. Serve over cooked rice or pasta, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a thinner sauce, add a little chicken broth or milk. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop.
