This fresh and vibrant Pico de Gallo salsa is incredibly easy to make at home in just 10 minutes! Enjoy it as a dip with tortilla chips or as a flavorful topping for tacos, grilled meats, and more.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 small white onion, finely chopped
  • 1-2 jalapeños, seeded and minced (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • Pinch of cumin (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, minced jalapeño, and cilantro.
  2. Add the lime juice, salt, and cumin (if using).
  3. Gently toss all ingredients together until well combined.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Add more salt, lime juice, or jalapeño to your liking.
  5. Let the Pico de Gallo sit for at least 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together before serving.

Notes

For a milder flavor, remove the seeds and membranes from the jalapeños. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, tacos, grilled chicken, or fish.
